Say good morning to Bella. To the untrained eye, Bella is just a beautiful creature. To a Polo groom, Bella is a fierce force to be reckoned with. She is after all, the Best Polo Pony in the stable. The Queen in the sport of Kings. She is out and about grazing early this AM. She has no idea if she is just mere hours away from game time, where in which she will transform into a fire-breathing monster or if she is just eating for nourishment. Either way, she is ready! Real Estate like Polo share many similarities. We can all take a few lessons from Bella…here are just a few.

Fourth of July weekend was spent with friends at the Jersey Shore. I have to admit, I’m not a beach person but when the invite came to join another couple at their cabana at the Edgewater Beach Club, I agreed. I have to say that I am so glad that I did.
The beach was not crowded even though it was a holiday weekend. The laughter in the air from the kids playing and splashing as the water came up behind them was a sight for sore eyes. You couldn’t help but smile, especially given the fact that the water was too cold for my liking. I thought, “Awww….to be a kid again!” Cold water? Who cares? not these kids. They didn’t have a care in the world
As the sunset over Sea Bright, I think the sky was showing off for me. It wanted me to see how lucky I am to live in Monmouth County. A place where you can go from horse country in Colts Neck, to sun and sand just a mere 20 minutes away.
No 4th of July would be complete without a light show. The fireworks did not disappoint. Close your eyes and make a wish…..Yes, you too can call this place home :))
* For the record….These photos were not edited and no filters were added to improve color. The Jersey shore is truly just that beautiful.
Recently, I was looking for the perfect two day getaway. A destination that was close to home but still far enough to relax and decompress. Where could I go that was just a stone’s throw away from Colts Neck?
I hadn’t stayed in “AC”, as it is called, since 2010 I vaguely recalled, definitely not since 2012, before Hurricane Sandy ravaged the area, so it would be interesting to escape to Atlantic City and see how this famous casino town fared through the storm.
Taking a short, one hour and fifteen minute drive down the Parkway, we ended up at The Water Club. I can’t rave enough about this hotel. It was the perfect weekend destination. The weather was beautiful and lounging poolside mixed with the ocean breeze made this the perfect weekend getaway. Plus, the entertainment, dining and shopping didn’t disappoint either.
In my book, this will remain as a fun day trip that will be taken again real soon.
