101 East 63rd Street was built in 1967 by architect Paul Rudolph, the former Dean of the Yale School of Architecture. It is a limited edition Manhattan townhouse, one of just three designed by Rudolph and is a tribute to his modernist style.
In 1990 Halston sold “101” to Fiat’s Gianni Agnelli and celebrated fashion photographer Gunter Sachs. “101” served as Sachs’ New York residence and a private gallery-studio for his world renowned art collection. Upon entering the house, you become immersed in its history. This was Andy Warhol’s home away from home – the place where the 70’s jet set partied after Studio 54.
Today, this extraordinary house awaits a new owner to continue the legend.
